Bitfreighter and ALS Association Partner to Raise More Than $80,000 at Karen Cameron ALS User Tournament and Integrated Technology Summit
Nashville, TN – August 11, 2025 – Bitfreighter announced today that its annual Karen Cameron ALS User Golf Tournament and Integrated Technology Summit raised more than $80,000 in support of the ALS Association, marking a record-setting year for the event. The third annual gathering brought together more than 185 leaders from across the logistics and technology industries for a day of networking, innovation, and philanthropy at Old Hickory Country Club.
Founded in honor of Karen Cameron, the tournament has quickly become a premier event in the logistics community, combining industry thought leadership with a shared commitment to fighting ALS. Since its inception, the tournament has raised over $80,000 for the ALS Association, funding critical research, advocacy, and support services for families affected by the disease.
“ALS is a devastating diagnosis, and supporting families through awareness and funding is a cause deeply personal to our team,” said Brad Perling, CEO of Bitfreighter. “This event is about more than golf—it’s about rallying the logistics community to do something bigger than ourselves. Partnering with the ALS Association ensures every dollar raised goes directly toward improving lives and driving progress in ALS research.”
The 2025 event featured a welcome party, keynote discussions on technology innovation in logistics, a live auction, and a full-day tournament. The highlight of the summit was the check presentation, where Bitfreighter and its sponsors came together to donate the largest single-year contribution in event history.
“The partnership with Bitfreighter and the logistics community is making a tremendous difference,” said Dean Feener, CIO of the ALS Association Tennessee Chapter. “These funds help us advance promising research while providing essential care services to families living with ALS today. We are grateful for the dedication and passion this event brings to the fight against ALS.”
Major sponsors of the event included River City Logistics, Chris Brewer, CEO, headline sponsor and largest single donor in the tournament’s history, along with silver and bronze sponsors representing dozens of logistics technology companies and partners.
Looking ahead, Bitfreighter plans to expand the scope of the Karen Cameron ALS User Tournament and Integrated Tech Summit, continuing its dual mission of advancing innovation in logistics while raising awareness and funding for ALS.
